Since always, music has been an important aspect in human culture because it has many applications and uses in human life. It is consider that music plays an important role to human beings, and it is reflect in many different ways. In medicine, music takes a significant part because it can be used to improve human health and life quality; for example, music can helps to reduce stress, cure illness, or produce happiness. Also, it is known that music can have great impact during pregnancy, or it can benefit premature babies. During the gestational period, the baby is exposed to different sounds and noises, which will affect his behavior and skills. The first sounds that a baby hears are the sound of the womb, and those that come from his mother; such as, her beating heart, her gurgling stomach and her breathing. Also, the voice of the mother is an important sound, which the baby listen to very carefully because it differs from what he usually hears. â€Å"Some researchers have discove red that newborns become calmer and more self-regulated when exposed to intrauterine sound,† (Whitwell, 2) this is the reason why we found the sound of the ocean and water so relaxing.
